Jazz Guitar
Throughout all the various sub genres of jazz, the constant theme within them all is improvisation. As the courses progress, the students will begin studying the improvisational vocabulary used by many great instrumentalists. The concepts will be applied to easy, blues based standards such as 'Footprints' and 'Comin Home Baby'. As more common jazz guitar voicings are learned, the students will learn to play the chords and melodies of those tunes at the same time; as well as classics like 'Tune Up' and 'Stella by Starlight'."
